God alone is Unchangeable and Sovereign Over Nations
Daniel 2:20-21 NKJV
"Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. [21] And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding."
Ever since the world was created and men began to multiply on earth, the only constant thing is change. Seasons and change and constant. There are always changes in seasons, changes in human life, and changes in nations of the world. There are times or oppression and there are times of prosperity.
We must bear in mind that God put man in a time dimension so that He (God) alone can remain eternal and sovereign over the world. Daniel understood this and in his prayer of thanks over the revelation God gave him about the succession of different kingdom at different times and seasons, he said:
“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. [21] And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding."
Friend, these are powerful truths to understand:
1. Men will come and go, but God remains.
2. Men will rise and fall, but God remains on His throne.
3. Systems will rise and fall, but God's purpose remains.
4. Governments will rise and fall, But God's Kingdom abides forever.
No man and no nation can escape these realities. Kings who rule in the days of Daniel understood it and kings today should understand it.
Beginning with Nebuchadnezzar, he thought he was in control over his kingdom until he had a dream that neither him nor his magicians and astrologers could not interpret. He resorted to Daniel, a man who feared God and he could interpret the dream of the king. The confession of the king after that incident was very amazing:
"The king answered Daniel, and said, “Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.”"
We are in the days that men will know that there is a God in heaven who is king of kings and Lord of Lords.
Afterward, God humbled Nebuchadnezzar, turning him to eat grass like an animal. His beliefs and confessions about God and life changed.
"And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation. [35] All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, “What have You done?” [37] Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down." (Daniel 4:34-35, 37 NKJV)
Friends, rest assured that God is still in control and He rules sovereignly over all nations, all kings and all subjects. He sees and knows what His children are going through and He has His purpose and plans to fulfill. He will surely not fail. He will act when appropriate.

Dieu seul est Inchangeable et Souverain sur les Nations

"Daniel répondit et dit : « Béni soit le nom de Dieu pour toujours et à jamais, car la sagesse et la puissance sont à lui. [21] Et il change les temps et les saisons ; il retire les rois et relève les rois ; il donne la sagesse aux sages et la connaissance à ceux qui ont l’intelligence.»”
Depuis que le monde a été créé et que les hommes ont commencé à se multiplier sur terre, la seule chose constante est le changement. Les saisons et le changement sont constants. Il y a toujours des changements dans les saisons, des changements dans la vie humaine et des changements dans les nations du monde. Il y a des temps d’oppression et des temps de prospérité.
Nous devons garder à l’esprit que Dieu a placé l’homme dans une dimension temporelle afin qu’Il (Dieu) seul puisse rester éternel et souverain sur le monde. Daniel a compris cela et dans sa prière de remerciement pour la révélation que Dieu lui a donnée sur la succession des différents royaumes à différents moments et saisons, il a dit :
« Béni soit le nom de Dieu pour toujours et à jamais, car la sagesse et la puissance sont les siens. » [21] Et il change les temps et les saisons ; il retire les rois et relève les rois ; il donne la sagesse aux sages et la connaissance à ceux qui ont l’intelligence.»
Mon Ami, voici des vérités puissantes à comprendre :
1. Les hommes viendront et s’en iront, mais Dieu demeure.
2. Les hommes se lèveront et tomberont, mais Dieu reste sur son trône.
3. Les systèmes se lèveront et tomberont, mais le but de Dieu demeure.
4. Les gouvernements se lèveront et tomberont, mais le Royaume de Dieu demeure pour toujours.
Aucun homme ni aucune nation ne peut échapper à ces réalités. Les rois qui gouvernaient aux jours de Daniel l’ont compris et les rois d’aujourd’hui devraient le comprendre.
En commençant par Nabuchodonosor, il pensait qu’il contrôlait son royaume jusqu’à ce qu’il ait un rêve que ni lui ni ses magiciens et astrologues ne pouvaient interpréter. Il a eu recours à Daniel, un homme qui craignait Dieu et il pouvait interpréter le rêve du roi. La confession du roi après cet incident était très étonnante :
"Le roi répondit à Daniel, et dit : « Vraiment ton Dieu est le Dieu des dieux, le Seigneur des rois, et un révélateur de secrets, puisque tu as pu révéler ce secret. »
Nous sommes dans les jours où les hommes sauront qu’il y a un Dieu dans le ciel qui est roi des rois et Seigneur des Seigneurs.
Après, Dieu humilia Nabuchodonosor, le transformant pour qu’il mange de l’herbe comme un animal. Ses croyances et confessions sur Dieu et la vie changèrent.
"Et à la fin du temps, moi, Nebucadnetsar, je levai les yeux vers le ciel, et mon intelligence revint à moi; et je bénis le Très-Haut, et je louais et honorais celui qui vit pour toujours : Car sa domination est une domination éternelle, et son règne est de génération en génération. [35] Tous les habitants de la terre ne sont réputés rien ; Il fait selon Sa volonté dans l’armée des cieux Et parmi les habitants de la terre. Personne ne peut retenir sa main ou lui dire : « Qu’as-tu fait ? » [37] Maintenant, moi, Nebucadnetsar, je loue et j’exalte et j’honore le Roi des cieux, dont toutes les œuvres sont vérité et ses voies justice. Et ceux qui marchent dans l’orgueil, il est capable de les abattre." (Daniel 4:34-35, 37 LSG)
Mes Amis, soyez assurés que Dieu est toujours au contrôle et qu’il règne souverainement sur toutes les nations, tous les rois et sur tous les sujets. Il voit et sait ce que ses enfants traversent et il a son but et ses plans à accomplir. Il n’échouera sûrement pas. Il agira lorsque cela sera approprié.
