Our Right to Exercise Dominion
Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
“And God said, Let Us make man in Our Image, after Our Likeness, and let them have Dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
God’s original intention for man was rulership, not survival. Dominion was the first mandate given to humanity at creation. It means exercising authority on God’s behalf, managing the earth under His lordship. Dominion is not pride—it is functioning according to divine purpose. Every child of God carries this right by creation and redemption.
The Blessing: The Engine of Dominion
The real power behind dominion is *The Blessing*. Right after God created man, He didn’t give him tools or weapons—He *blessed* him (Genesis 1:28). That blessing was the divine empowerment to be fruitful, multiply, and subdue the earth. Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” The Blessing is not just words—it is a spiritual force that produces visible results.
When Isaac wanted to bless Esau, he asked him to bring venison that he loved (Genesis 27:3-4). That act of honor was the key to unlock the father’s blessing. Jacob, through discernment, received that same blessing, and it changed his destiny. Likewise, Judah, Jacob’s fourth son, testified that because he honored his parents, his father blessed him and declared that he would be king and prosper in all things. From that moment, divine strength followed him, and he began to conquer easily.
The principle here is clear: Honor provokes the Blessing, and the Blessing empowers Dominion. You cannot walk in dominion while dishonoring God or the authorities He has placed over you.
Submission: The Pathway to Lasting Dominion
The second key to dominion is *Submission*. Spiritual authority begins with humility. James 4:6–7 teaches that we must first submit to God before we can resist the devil. Dominion flows from alignment. When you submit to God’s authority, all of creation recognizes your authority.
Submission involves three major areas:
1. To the Word of God: The Word defines the boundaries of dominion. When your life agrees with Scripture, your authority carries weight.
2. To the Holy Spirit: Dominion is maintained by divine direction. Romans 8:14 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
3. To Spiritual Authority: God channels His grace through human vessels. Submitting to those He has placed over us connects us to divine flow and protection.
True dominion is not domination over people but mastery over life’s circumstances. It is living above fear, sin, and limitation through obedience to God. When you honor, submit, and walk in the Blessing, creation naturally responds to your command.
Living as Sons of Dominion
To live in dominion is to live with the consciousness that Christ restored what Adam lost. In Christ, we are no longer victims of situations—we are kings and priests unto God (Revelation 5:10). Dominion begins within; when we conquer self, sin, and fear, external dominion follows.
Let your thoughts, words, and actions reflect the authority of God in you. Rule over your emotions, manage your resources, and represent Heaven’s order wherever you are. That is what it means to have dominion.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for creating us in Your image and calling us to rule under Your authority. Help us to walk daily in honor and submission so that Your Blessing will manifest in every area of our lives. Teach us to operate in true dominion—over sin, fear, and every situation—so that Your glory may be revealed through us. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

« Puis Dieu dit : Faisons l’homme à notre image, selon notre ressemblance, et qu’il domine sur les poissons de la mer, sur les oiseaux du ciel, sur le bétail, sur toute la terre, et sur tous les reptiles qui rampent sur la terre. »
L’intention première de Dieu pour l’homme n’était pas la survie, mais la domination. La domination fut le tout premier mandat confié à l’humanité dès la création. Elle signifie exercer l’autorité au nom de Dieu et gérer la terre sous Sa seigneurie. Dominer ne veut pas dire être orgueilleux, mais fonctionner selon le dessein divin. Tout enfant de Dieu possède ce droit par la création et par la rédemption.
La Bénédiction : Le Moteur de la Domination
La véritable puissance derrière la domination, c’est *La Bénédiction*. Juste après avoir créé l’homme, Dieu ne lui donna ni outils ni armes — Il *le bénit* (Genèse 1:28). Cette bénédiction était la puissance divine pour être fécond, se multiplier et soumettre la terre. Proverbes 10:22 déclare : « C’est la bénédiction de l’Éternel qui enrichit, et Il ne la fait suivre d’aucun chagrin. » La bénédiction n’est pas qu’un mot, c’est une force spirituelle qui produit des résultats visibles.
Lorsque Isaac voulut bénir Ésaü, il lui demanda de lui apporter un gibier qu’il aimait (Genèse 27:3–4). Cet acte d’honneur fut la clé qui ouvrit la porte de la bénédiction paternelle. Jacob, par discernement, reçut cette bénédiction, et sa destinée changea pour toujours. De même, Juda, le quatrième fils de Jacob, reçut la bénédiction de son père parce qu’il avait honoré ses parents. Son père déclara qu’il régnerait et prospérerait dans toutes choses. Dès cet instant, une force divine l’accompagna, et il commença à vaincre sans effort.
Le principe est simple : l’honneur attire la bénédiction, et la bénédiction alimente la domination. On ne peut marcher dans la domination tout en méprisant Dieu ou les autorités qu’Il a établies.
La Soumission : Le Chemin vers une Domination Durable
La seconde clé de la domination est la soumission. L’autorité spirituelle commence avec l’humilité. Jacques 4:6–7 nous enseigne qu’il faut d’abord se soumettre à Dieu avant de pouvoir résister au diable. La domination découle de l’alignement. Quand tu es soumis à l’autorité de Dieu, toute la création reconnaît ton autorité.
La soumission touche trois domaines essentiels :
1. À la Parole de Dieu : La Parole définit les limites de la domination. Quand ta vie s’accorde à l’Écriture, ton autorité devient effective.
2. Au Saint-Esprit : La domination se maintient par la direction divine. Romains 8:14 déclare : « Car tous ceux qui sont conduits par l’Esprit de Dieu sont fils de Dieu. »
3. À l’Autorité Spirituelle : Dieu fait passer Sa grâce à travers des hommes qu’Il a établis. Se soumettre à eux nous connecte au flot divin et à la protection spirituelle.
La vraie domination n’est pas la domination des hommes, mais la maîtrise des circonstances. C’est vivre au-dessus de la peur, du péché et des limites, en obéissant à Dieu. Quand tu honores, te soumets et marches dans la bénédiction, la création répond naturellement à ta voix.
Vivre comme des Fils de la Domination
Vivre dans la domination, c’est vivre avec la conscience que Christ a restauré ce qu’Adam avait perdu. En Christ, nous ne sommes plus des victimes des situations — nous sommes rois et prêtres pour Dieu (Apocalypse 5:10). La domination commence à l’intérieur : quand nous vainquons nous-mêmes, le péché et la peur, la domination extérieure s’établit.
Que tes pensées, tes paroles et tes actions reflètent l’autorité de Dieu en toi. Règne sur tes émotions, gère tes ressources et manifeste l’ordre du Ciel partout où tu te trouves. Voilà ce que signifie avoir la domination.

Père Céleste, nous Te remercions de nous avoir créés à Ton image et de nous avoir appelés à régner sous Ton autorité. Aide-nous à marcher chaque jour dans l’honneur et la soumission afin que Ta bénédiction se manifeste dans tous les domaines de nos vies. Enseigne-nous à exercer une véritable domination — sur le péché, la peur et toutes les situations — pour que Ta gloire soit révélée à travers nous. Au Nom Puissant de Jésus, Amen.
