Understand and Apply the Meaning of the Gospel to Our Lives (Part Three)
The word "Gospel" is often used in the Bible with different names or concepts to emphasize a particular truth about the Gospel. There are not many gospels, but one Gospel with many emphasis and many benefits. Here are some that are worth noting.
1. The Gospel of God: Paul uses this concept to let us know that God is the author of the Gospel. In Romans 1:1, we read this: "Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God” The same is used in 1 Thessalonians 2: 2,9.
2. The Gospel of Jesus Christ: This concept is used to emphasize that the Gospel is about the coming of Jesus Christ into the world (Mark 1:1, Romans 15: 19). We know that Jesus Christ was sent by God to fulfill the purpose of God on the earth, namely securing the salvation of mankind.
3. The Gospel of God’s grace: Paul uses this phrase to reveal that the Gospel is about the grace of God manifested in Jesus Christ for our salvation (Acts 20: 24). In John 1, John revealed that the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ incarnated the Godpel of grace. You are saved by grace and not our efforts or works. Believe in the finished work of Christ.
4. The Gospel of peace: The Gospel is a message that produces peace in the life of those who receive it. That is why Paul talks of the Gospel of peace, (Ephesians6: 15). Thinking of it, many people came to Jesus Christ when they were troubled by their sins, sicknesses, or other life’s problems. When they received the Gospel, they experienced peace in Christ.
Are you troubled by any challenge, remember, the Gospel has not change. Jesus Christ is the burden bearer, the sin breaker and the liberator of your soul.
5. The Gospel of your Salvation: This is to emphasize that the Gospel leads to salvation (Ephesians 1: 13). The word “Salvation” in the Bible is very complex. It means rescue, freedom, healing, deliverance, well being. Praise the Lord! You can obtain all of these in Christ.
6. The Gospel of the glory of Christ: The Gospel reveals the glory of Christ and the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4). Any gospel that rather reveals or emphasizes a man’s glory is not the true Gospel. Watch out whom you listen to and what you listen to.
7. The Gospel of the Kingdom: This concept also runs through many books and verses of the Bible (Matthew 24:14).
You will find these concepts repeated in Romans 1: 6,9,15-16, 2:16.
So, the Gospel is from God, it is about the kingdom of God; you access to the kingdom of God by grace through faith. The Gospel was incarnated by Jesus Christ His ministry and it produces salvation, peace and righteousness.
That is what Paul emphasizes in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 NIV
"Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures”
So, in conclusion we could also say the Gospel of eternal life, the Gospel of the love of God. Do you get the point? Don’t get confused when you read a passage and come across a particular concept or emphasis of the Gospel. It is one Gospel that has many emphasis and many benefits. Hallelujah!

Comprendre et appliquer la signification de l’Évangile à nos vies (Troisième Partie)
Le mot « Évangile » est souvent utilisé dans la Bible avec différents noms ou concepts pour souligner une vérité particulière sur l’Évangile. Il n’y a pas plusieurs évangiles, mais un seul évangile avec de nombreux points forts et de nombreux avantages. En voici quelques-uns qui méritent d’être notés.
1. L’Évangile de Dieu: Paul utilise ce concept pour nous faire savoir que Dieu est l’auteur de l’Évangile. Dans Romains 1:1, nous lisons ceci : "Paul, serviteur de Jésus-Christ, appelé à être apôtre, séparé pour l’évangile de Dieu ” La même chose est dite dans 1 Thessaloniciens 2 : 2,9.
2. L’Évangile de Jésus-Christ: Ce concept est utilisé pour souligner que l’Évangile concerne la venue de Jésus-Christ dans le monde (Marc 1:1, Romains 15 : 19). Nous savons que Jésus-Christ a été envoyé par Dieu pour accomplir le dessein de Dieu sur la terre, à savoir assurer le salut de l’humanité.
3. L’Évangile de la grâce de Dieu: Paul utilise cette phrase pour révéler que l’Évangile parle de la grâce de Dieu manifestée en Jésus-Christ pour notre salut (Actes 20 : 24). Dans Jean 1:17 Jean révèle que la loi a été donnée par Moïse, mais que la grâce et la vérité sont venues par Jésus-Christ. Jésus-Christ a incarné la grâce de Dieu. Nous êtes sauvé par la grâce, et non par nos efforts ou nos œuvres. Croyez à l’œuvre accomplie du Christ.
4. L’Évangile de la paix: L’Évangile est un message qui produit la paix dans la vie de ceux qui le reçoivent. C’est pourquoi Paul parle de l’évangile de la paix, (Ephésiens 6 : 15). En y pensant, beaucoup de gens sont venus à Jésus-Christ quand ils étaient troublés par leurs péchés, maladies ou d’autres problèmes de la vies. Quand ils ont reçu l’Évangile, ils ont fait l’expérience de la paix en Christ.
Es-tu troublé par un défi, souviens-toi, l’Évangile n’a pas changé. Jésus-Christ est le porteur de fardeau, le briseur de péché et le libérateur de votre âme.
5. L’Évangile de ton Salut: C’est pour souligner que l’Évangile conduit au salut (Éphésiens 1 : 13). Le mot « salut » dans la Bible est très complexe. Cela signifie sauvetage, liberté, guérison, délivrance, bien-être. Loué soit le Seigneur ! Vous pouvez obtenir tout cela en Christ.
6. L’Évangile de la gloire du Christ: L’Évangile révèle la gloire du Christ et la gloire de Dieu (2 Corinthiens 4:4). Tout évangile qui révèle ou met en valeur la gloire d’un homme n’est pas le véritable Évangile. Prenez garde à qui vous écoutez et à ce que vous écoutez.
7. L’Évangile du Royaume: Ce concept se retrouve aussi dans de nombreux livres et versets de la Bible (Matthieu 24:14).
Vous trouverez ces concepts répétés dans Romains 1 : 6,9,15-16, 2:16.
Ainsi, l’Évangile vient de Dieu, il s’agit du royaume de Dieu ; vous accédez au royaume de Dieu par la grâce à travers la foi. L’Évangile a été incarné par Jésus-Christ dans son ministère et il produit le salut, la paix et la justice.
C’est ce que Paul souligne dans 1 Corinthiens 15:1-4 NIV
"Maintenant, frères et sœurs, je veux vous rappeler l’évangile que je vous ai prêché, que vous avez reçu et sur lequel vous avez pris position. 2 Par cet évangile vous êtes sauvés, si vous vous attachez à la parole que je vous ai annoncée; autrement, vous avez cru en vain. 3 Car ce que j’ai reçu, je vous l’ai transmis en premier lieu : c’est que le Christ est mort pour nos péchés, selon les Écritures; 4 qu’il a été enseveli, qu’il est ressuscité le troisième jour, selon les Écritures.”
Ainsi, en conclusion, nous pourrions aussi dire l’Évangile de la vie éternelle, l’Évangile de l’amour de Dieu. Est-ce que tu comprends le point ? Ne vous trompez pas lorsque vous lisez un passage et que vous tombez sur un concept ou un accent particulier de l’Évangile. C’est un Évangile qui a beaucoup d’emphase et de nombreux avantages.
