John 3: 12
“If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?”
Look at the opening verse again closely. From Jesus’ mouth, we see clearly that there are earthly realities, and there also heavenly realities. Jesus Christ revealed this truth in His discussion with Nicodemus. We trust the words of Jesus Christ. Notice the emphasis in this revelation:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.” (John 3: 11)
Jesus wasn’t speaking what He heard another man say; but things He had witnessed. He came from heaven to earth. Here He is testifying to the fact that heaven is real and there are realities there just as on earth.
Look again at the opening text:
“If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?”
There are heavenly spiritual realities that we must know and understand. There are things or realities of heaven, or of the kingdom of God. Heaven is the headquarters of God’s operation and of God’s kingdom. We have no doubt about that.
1. We pray to our Father in heaven. (Matthew 6: 9; 2 Chronicles 6).
2. God hears from heaven and answer from heaven (2 Chronicles 7:14).
3. Heaven is real, Psalm 11:4; 14:2; 57:3; 73:25; 102:19; 103:19; 115:15
4. It is from heaven that God rules the universe. He reigns in heaven and He gave the earth to man. Earth was to be an extension of God’s reign or His kingdom. He gave the earth to the son of man to control or govern, Genesis 1:28. But man failed and the government felt into the hands of Satan. Things were corrupted and disrupted. The realities on earth are no longer what God in heaven intended.
In heaven, it is only the will of God that rules. Psalms 119: 89 AMP:
“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven [standing firm and unchangeable].”
The will of God is settled in heaven, forever established.
In Ephesians 1:3, we Lear also that our blessings are in Christ Jesus in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:10). We must study to understand and pray to access and operate the realities of heaven in on lives.
On earth, it is not only and always the will of God that reigns. We have three wills that operate on earth.
• The will of man, man was given dominion over the earth.
• The will of Satan, he sought to usurp the place of God, Isaiah 14; Ezekiel 28.
• The will of God, it is the aspirations and desires of God for mankind and for the universe. He decided to extend His kingdom on earth.
The life and ministry of Jesus Christ are clear examples that we can operate the will of God on earth and thereby expand His kingdom. God’s ultimate intend is to fully restore His kingdom on earth, (Revelations 11:15). And this shall come to past. Seek to be an active part of that agenda. You will experience the realities of heaven and of the kingdom.

« Si je t’ai dit des choses terrestres et que tu ne crois pas, comment croiras-tu si je te dis des choses célestes ? »
Regardez de nouveau attentivement le verset d’ouverture. De la bouche de Jésus, nous voyons clairement qu’il y a des réalités terrestres, et aussi des réalités célestes. Jésus-Christ a révélé cette vérité dans sa discussion avec Nicodème. Nous faisons confiance aux paroles de Jésus-Christ. Remarquez l’emphase dans cette révélation :
« En toute certitude, je vous le dis : nous disons ce que nous savons et témoignons ce que nous avons vu, et vous ne recevez pas notre témoignage. » (Jean 3 : 11)
Jésus ne parlait pas de ce qu’il avait entendu un autre homme dire ; mais des choses dont il en était témoin. Il est venu du ciel sur la terre. Ici, Il témoigne du fait que le ciel est réel et qu’il y a des réalités là-bas tout comme sur la terre.
Regardez à nouveau le texte d’ouverture :
« Si je t’ai dit des choses terrestres et que tu ne crois pas, comment croiras-tu si je te dis des choses célestes ? »”
Il y a des réalités spirituelles célestes que nous devons connaître et comprendre. Il y a des choses ou des réalités du ciel, ou du royaume de Dieu. Le ciel est le siège de l’opération de Dieu et du royaume de Dieu. Nous n’avons aucun doute à ce sujet.
1. Nous prions notre Père qui est aux cieux (Matthieu 6 : 9 ; 2 Chroniques 6).
2. Dieu entend du ciel et répond du ciel (2 Chroniques 7:14).
3. Le ciel est réel, Psaume 11:4; 14:2; 57:3; 73:25; 102:19; 103:19; 115:15
4. C’est du ciel que Dieu règne sur l’univers. Il règne dans le ciel et a donné la terre à l’homme.
La Terre devait être une extension du règne de Dieu ou de Son royaume. Il a donné la terre au fils de l’homme pour contrôler ou gouverner, Genèse 1:28. Mais l’homme a échoué et le gouvernement s’est senti entre les mains de Satan. Les choses ont été corrompues et perturbées. Les réalités sur la terre ne sont plus ce que Dieu au ciel avait prévu.
Dans le ciel, il n’y a que la volonté de Dieu qui règne. Psaumes 119 : 89 AMP :
« Pour toujours, ô Seigneur, Ta parole est établie dans les cieux [restant ferme et immuable]. »
La volonté de Dieu est établie dans le ciel, pour toujours.
Dans Éphésiens 1.3, nous apprenons aussi que nos bénédictions sont en Jésus-Christ dans les cieux (Éphésiens 2.10). Nous devons étudier pour comprendre et prier afin d’accéder aux réalités du ciel dans nos vies et de les exploiter.
Sur terre, ce n’est pas seulement et toujours la volonté de Dieu qui règne. Nous avons trois volontés qui opèrent sur terre.
• La volonté de l’homme, l’homme a reçu la domination sur la terre.
• La volonté de Satan, il a cherché à usurper la place de Dieu, Esaïe 14 ; Ezéchiel 28.
• La volonté de Dieu, ce sont les aspirations et les désirs de Dieu pour l’humanité et pour l’univers. Il a décidé d’étendre son royaume sur terre.
La vie et le ministère de Jésus-Christ sont des exemples clairs que nous pouvons faire fonctionner la volonté de Dieu sur terre et ainsi étendre son royaume. L’intention ultime de Dieu est de restaurer pleinement son royaume sur terre, (Apocalypse 11:15). Et cela passera. Cherchez à être une partie active de cet agenda. Vous ferez l’expérience des réalités du ciel et du royaume.
